Fra fastlandet går det i dag flere ferger til øyriket, både fra Bodø, Skutvik og Bognes. Fra Skutvik går ferga gjennom Skrova før den ankommer i Svolvær. Fra Bodø går det ferger direkte til Moskenes. Det er også mulig å dele opp turen og dermed få en gratis fergetur.
